This year's theme: Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves!

Time to start thinking about your costume!

Special feature this year! Fortune telling!

The party will be Saturday, March 5, 2011! (Remember, it's always the Saturday before Fat Tuesday.)

Have photos from the party?  Contact Us and Mandi will get them added to the gallery.

Mike and Mary have thrown an annual Mardi Gras party since 1997. Guests are always welcomed in costume or not, and everyone gets beads. The festivities are always the Saturday before Fat Tuesday. A listing of Future Dates is available, so mark your calendars now!

The table is laden with Mike's homemade jambalaya, etouffee, and dishes from all of the guests. If you have a dish you have brought in the past and are willing to share, please submit the recipe to us. If there is something you have tried and would love to make, check out the Recipes section and see if it's there. Don't forget about the King Cake. This traditional treat has become a highlight of each event.

While not required, costumes are strongly encouraged.  As soon as the next theme is decided, we will post it here. Not sure where to begin your costume quest? Check out some of the ideas in the Costumes section where you will also find local costume shops.

Why Mardi Gras? Check out the History section to find out what Fat Tuesday and Carnival are all about.

Of course, this party is invitation only, for family and friends.  If you have found your way here on the internet, feel free to gather inspiration here and host your very own Mardi Gras Party!
